Wow…it was amazing…all of us went for shopping like crazy …all just to look good for the eve and the big day!…ahahahaha…things we used to do when we were small…funny…we were at my parent’s the other day walking down memory lane…telling Matchal how it all used to be when we were kids and how thatha was our hero! He always has been..always will be…
Thatha has always had a big place in my heart…he was my hero…and i loved him…I knew he loved me too…all the stories…all the play…all the laughter…it was just priceless…I still remember when I was lil…thatha used to play firecrackers with us in the porch..and he just knew all the tricks in town…tht was the best eves ever…
We had our carbonated drinks( btw at tht time…it was like a million bucks!) we used to get 2 bottles each….thatha was the man….we grandchildren used to line up single file in front of thatha while he fed us the first meal…breakfast… And only after tht everyone else ate including thatha….we just loved it….we were special he always said…he was always rite…always always…!!!
And then it was ang pow time….wow…tht was loads of fun too…ehheeheheh….we used to collect quite a bit…. happiest times when we were kids…winks! My family and I always used to live the furthest and hence…‘balik kampung’ meant the world to us….we used to always come back to me thatha’s house…(then used to be our lil paradise)…we could do anything and thatha had our backs…no one could touch us….we had our knight and shinning armor!….
And so the memory lives on…wish we could have more of thatha around…god bless his soul…P/S: Thatha…we love u!
